Breno Caetano brings ideas of cities, societies and politics of togetherness as an extensive base of his artistic and pedagogical approaches: Ranging from the daily handling of living-together to collaborative creation, from artistic practices to care practices, from the work of mediation to the work of intervention, from the cartography of individual affects to the struggles for transformation. At CCD he aims for intensive collaborations, displacements and deviations, between research and a singular investigation of the artistic and political uses of ethnography as a circumscriptive-performative tool. After graduating as dancer and circus artist from Curso técnico em Dança (CTD) in Brazil and Centre national des arts du cirque (CNAC) in France, he founded "Grupo Fuzuê" together with Edmar Cândido in Brazil, one of the groups which pioneered in motivating a research between dance and circus. In France he established "Collectif 3°andar", alongside a series of meetings which allow a broader dialogue on the practice of performance. Over the last couple of years Breno has worked as interpreter / creator with Philippe Decouflé, Yann Lheureux, Marine Maine, Yann Marussich, Fabrice Melquiot, Ohad Naharin and Mélissa Von Vépy.
